The Story of Montrose Pre-Primary School

Montrose Pre-Primary School opened its doors in January 2001. Eighteen learners entered the first Grade R classroom which was situated in a section of Montrose Primary School. Mrs. Linda Bain was the educator and Ms. Lydia Ntshole was her assistant. During that year the first dedicated Pre-Primary School building was built and the following year two more Grade R classes opened their doors. In 2010 the property next door to Montrose was purchased and due to demand, our present school was built. The school moved into the new building in 2013. The original house on the property was part of a farm and the original horse watering trough still stood in the garden.
